Urban Orienteering
We travelled to Brighouse near Halifax for the last of this years Yorkshire Urban Orienteering League. Cobbled streets and some hard climbs meant I was tiring by the end of the course and lost touch with the map at a crucial point. However I did enough to secure second and the league title although this still has to be ratified.
The locals had never encountered people rushing round the streets on a Sunday. Some, in an attempt to be helpful, pointing out the controls I did not want!
The finish was in parkland and this shot shows the final control before the finish.
