Now, as I see it......

Nene Valley Railway

The Nene Valley Railway in Northamptonshire was holding a 'Mixed Traffic Steam Gala' this weekend so I went for a look. 'Tornado' was there for the weekend but had suffered a problem yesterday so was not in service; apparently it will be repaired by tomorrow which will be a relief for the railway as they have sold a lot of 'driver experiences' at £300 a shot! This is an S160 which was built originally for the US Army Transportation Corps during WWII and owned by Hungarian State Railways after the end of the war. It is now owned by the Churnet Valley Railway but on loan to the NVR until 2015. There are a few more pictures from the Gala here.

Thanks for the comments yesterday on my 'Vulcan' shot. There are a few more airshow pictures here.
