As part of the Heritage Open Weekend, the Cleveland Pools - a Lido first opened in the 19th century and closed in the 80's - allowed the public in for the first time in many years. There is a project underway to make them usable again. That's a long way off I'm guessing, but I can't imagine more idyllic surroundings for early morning summer swims.

Apparently the Bath Dolphins swimming club was started here. I was a member in my youth, but by that time we swam in the more convenient but more conventional sport centre baths.
