Sunday Morning

we got up early and went to Montmartre, so see Sacre Coeur before the masses of tourists came. It worked out quite well, maybe 10% were there of what shoves normally through the streets all day long. We went into the Cathedral without waiting, enjoyed a hazy look over the city and walked up to the Place du Tertre, only to have a cup of coffee, a croissant and to return quickly to the metro by the Rue Lepic. Place du Tertre I last visited in 1962 and maybe in the mid Seventies. It doesn't look a bit like then anymore. No more romance. Hubby said, the tourists are loving Paris to death, and it feels bad to be part of it. Good to have the memories of the old days. I will use the next weeks to try to make new good memories. It will probably not be at the well known Paris Landmarks .

On the way to our momentary home we stopped at the marked to get fresh food and some oysters with a little white wine (degustation) on the market around the corner. This booth looked so good with the stripes of the roof and the stripes on the T-shirt of the young man.

Thank you for visiting and commenting. Thanks also for the stars and hearts of the last two days. I wasn't aware of them until today :-)
My daughter will come in an hour for a 3 day visit, so my comments will be scarce. I am looking forward to seeing her and her boyfriend again!
