Family occasion

Many of my extended family travelled to Gisborne this weekend to help my grandmother celebrate her 90th birthday. There are 4 generations here. Unfortunately none of the 5th generation were able to be here. it was a pretty good crowd showing though.

I would blip a family grouping - but it is too hard to decide which one. So instead here is the top tier of the cake; a beautiful floral arrangement. This is an 8 inch cake, made by my Aunty Robyn and everything you see here, except the butterflies, is handmade from icing. It is an incredible work of art. Every single petal hand made, hand painted and hand assembled.

My favourites have to be those iris on the top.
