Dinner on the Inlet
A week ago six of us decided to have a dinner on the water to mark the end of summer. I even made the reservations for 5:30 so we would be there in plenty of time for the earlier sunset.
If you saw my blip yesterday you can see how beautiful the weather was.
Well, today, not so much. It was raining, misty and the skies were gray all day. We thought about changing the date or just canceling but in the end we decided to go ahead with it and have fun regardless of the weather.
We all met up at the restaurant which sits on the inlet with windows facing the water. I was determined to get a photo of the boats before it got dark and with the rain, I knew it would get dark sooner rather than later.
As you can see from my photo it lacks a blue sky, blue water and a sunset. However, it gives you an idea of where we were and it was the only photo I took today. I think it resembles a very muted water color painting.
We had a great time and I'm glad we all met up. Of course tomorrow is supposed to beautiful.
