On the trail

Oh, September! It's my most difficult month. When school starts, I am swept away in the swell of life. Both children are on different sports teams, and both children need help navigating the start of the school year. Everyone says that when your nest is empty, you will look back on this and miss it. I think I will look back on it and breathe.

Today was an absolutely unexpectedly fantastic day. It was supposed to rain all day. We had planned to do some clothes shopping which is necessary but not fun. But everything lined up and we got it accomplished with time to spare.

The sun came out and we played outside! I ran with my son, and saw a beautiful group of these weeds. When we ran by, the sun was shining on a spider web that had caught some of the seeds. It was beautiful.

By the time I returned, the light was different, but it was still all good. I caught several nice shots of these as well as some other nice weeds, and a grasshopper. I think this is the best shot today.
