Baby Beadlet Anemone

I had a wee mooch about the rocks on the beach this morning.

There is plenty of life on the rocks if you look hard enough - limpets, winkles, baby mussels, seaweed..........

...and this baby beadlet anemone.

Beadlet anemones are usually found in cracks and holes in the rocks on the sea shore. When the tide goes out, they close up and wait for the water to come back in.

This one is quite exposed which is unusual.
