Looking At Plants
It was a Kelsey day today, starting with an early morning trip to her apartment to sell another item from the Craigslist posting. Then we visited her at California State University Long Beach where she was presenting at poster symposium. Finally, we took a trip out to Clairmont where she had spent three weeks this summer while on here internship. The Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, established in 1927, is the largest botanic garden dedicated to California native plants and our daughter worked in their plant lab this past summer. She took us on a tour of the gardens, on one of the hottest days of the year - the temperature was over 100ºF. Here she is explaining something about leaves to my wife during our walk around. We absorbed as much knowledge as possible given the heat and then retreated to a cute spot in the darling downtown for a cold libation. Tomorrow's the big yard sale to get rid of everything that was not sold on Craigslist (which is significant at this point).
