Plan C

Another nice day today and we thought, why not have a trip out, as we often do. Being a Sunday we considered it'd be busy but decided to take a chance on the season quietening down and decided to not think too hard and take a trip to Brockhole where we know there's a nice soft play area Luke likes and a walk by the lake.
But as it turns out it hasn't quite died down yet in the Lakes and there wasn't a single parking space to be had at Brockhole so plan B was put in to action to continue to Ambleside and hop on a Windermere Lake Cruise. As you can tell from the title that didn't pan out, again due to lack of parking spaces. And so plan C - the park in Ambleside and a wander round, which was nearly scuppered by the overpriced parking in Ambleside and lack of card payment on the pay and display, but thankfully it turned into a nice afternoon. It did of course include tea and cake.
