Farmer's Market

Saturdays in September mean Farmer's market in the old square downtown, so that's where we were headed today. It took forever to get there because if all the interesting things along the way. To me, that is.

It was super crowded. Farmers and merchants, people with shopping bags and dogs. Lots of dogs. To avoid me being trodden on, or me starting to bark at something, anything, that would have required us to leave in a haste, I was carried around most of the time. I'm really too old for that, no?

The great advantage was that I and my nose were at the level where the interesting things happened. The Food Level. Aw, the sights, the smells! Wild boar sausage. Home made cheeses. Ice cream. Bread from a wood burning oven. All sorts of vegetables. I managed to charm the cheese lady into giving me a piece of goat milk brie to taste. Yum!!
