Catkins

Whenever I see catkins it reminds me of my Mum. She always liked to pick a few for flower arranging. I don't have the flower arranging skills she had, so I leave them on the tree! They seem to be everywhere at the moment - another sign of Spring.

The little pink bits are intriguing! I don't think I've ever studied catkins at close quarters before ...
