Life through the lens...

High Spring Tide.

This sailing boat is actually in the car park!

We went down for a last look at Blakeney quay before setting off home.
Had no idea that it was such a high tide! The water had come up so high that the car park had disappeared, and the water reached the buildings at the other side of the coast road!

The marshes were completely covered, and the sight of the blue sea which reflected the sky, was breathtaking.
The small sailing boats just bobbing up and down where they had been moored along the creeks.

We were so lucky to have such perfect weather for our last morning.

Local caught cockles, and a crab sandwiches, for lunch, was a perfect end to our
short stay.
We look forward to returning for two weeks at the beginning of November.
Instead of crab and cockles it will be mussels! Also the geese and wading birds will have returned.
I think it will be gloves, scarves, and thick jumpers too!
