'Pieris rapae'
What a posh name for the Cabbage White Butterfly....I have plenty of these in my garden at the moment! They are loving Verbena Bonariensis.
These beautiful Verbena have sprung up from nowhere. I grew them for quite a few years...but then they disappeared about four years ago. The seedlings are easy to identify..a large patch of them suddenly appeared and have shot up to a great height amongst the Dahlias.. Which just proves that seeds can lay dormant in the soil for quite a time..and then suddenly germinate
