Red Spotted Newt

My Nature Preserve Hiking class caught a snake, some frogs, salamanders, and newts today. Here is the red spotted Newt. What a cutie. I was going to put a picture of the snake up but for some reason a lot of people dislike snakes.

Thirteen years ago my dad was working in the World Trade Center on 9/11. My family was fortunate enough to have him return home to us. Every 9/11 I am reminded of how thankful I am that I get to tell my Dad that I love him. Every 9/11 my thoughts also turn to the men and women we lost, the courageous fireman and policemen, and the families whose lives were forever altered. Never forget.
