Surprise visitor!

Home is a place of comfort and sanctuary, but sometimes evil things lurk in nasty corners.

I set out with the plan of a major house clean before the boys come home from their grandparents. I started in the kitchen and dealt with the horror above which was hiding behind the fruit bowl.

Then an old friend dropped in for coffee, which is quite a feet as he lives in Edinburgh.

I have a lot to thank him for. He's an exiled Orcadian and it was him that once sent us this way on holiday. He wasn't to know that simple act was to end up with us running away to live on an island.

Thanks Bill, sorry we had no biscuits.

No need to say that the cleaning never got down. I guess there's always tomorrow...
