Robin Barclay - one a day

By RobinBarclay

Moorfoot meander

It was a warm day with hazy sun and since I wanted to be out, but heard there was har on the coast, I took a run through the B roads that run across the main Edinburgh to Jedburgh; Galashiels and Peebles roads - through the Moorfoots past Heriott (actually A7 to Middleton, to Fala, to Soutra Aisle, past Heriott, back on the Innerleithen road to Gorebridge), with various stops. Fantastic scenery, and soft and mysterious in the warm haze. Swallows, swifts and martins were feeding, and there were lots of pheasants (I had to stop for a pair who were having a dispute on/by the road and were oblivious to me and the car).
