Road Crew

I am really chuffed with this picture. I remember a conversation with Tomasz some time back and the supposition that you have a maximum of 3 seconds to make the photo. This one was less than 2... driving down the autostrada this morning at nearly 150 and I see the road crew up ahead and this guy walking down the center divider. No time to think... hit the window down switch, push the shutter button to wake the camera up and raise the camera at same time rotating the focus from infinity to who knows what focal distance (with one hand) and 'click'. I had slowed to probably 140 by this point, but no real possibility to set up a picture other than shoot and hope. With the camera already set at f/2 and no idea about the focal distance other than muscle memory - AND the fact that I almost centered the guy with about 2 1/2 meters distance at 140 kmh - AND nearly in focus - is just amazing and fun!

What a stupid thing this guy is doing in any case!!! One unbalanced step with a blast of wind from a passing truck and he is road kill.
