Let there be sun...

... and if not sun, let there be sunflowers ;-)

A montage of three lensbaby shots was easier than making my brain function to choose one.

I was fortunate to be sent home from work today to rest and potter until my flight tomorrow. It made a difference to quietly work through a few must do tasks, gather my things and slip away.

It was especially helpful as my washing machine died last night. I'm philosophical, it had 'a good innings' and I knew it was approaching the end it's life. Without frantic rushing I was here this afternoon to take delivery of a new reconditioned one.

Why reconditioned? It's a form of recycling, checking with service men a slightly older model is often better built and will last as long - if not longer than the current new model is built to last, it's cheaper and I still have a machine that's kind on the environment. Living in a city the size of Christchurch it's easier to find a business that specialises in this.

I'm still full of cold but at least I'm not under pressure as I head away. Hopefully I'll steadily feel better and able to fully enjoy and appreciate my workshop and conference.

For those of you who are wondering, I've made the call and left my running shoes out of my bag. I'm taking the sensible route with my bugs ;-)

The rest of the week will be tricky to comment but I will do my best. I'll see what I can find with my camera in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand.
