A Very Old Road Sign

Boring but true...

This is on a road near our house. Modern UK road signs came into existence about 50+ years ago, and this certainly isn't modern.

I can't be sure exactly, but it defiantly pre-dates the mid 50's. It's amazing that this sign is still standing on a road in its original position, and is still accurate (with directions).
