Still Standing Tall

Had a trip to Colchester zoo today.

I have very mixed feelings about animals held in captivity. The animals look to be far better accommodated than they were when I was a child and the zoo appears to do a considerable amount of conservation and education work.

I enjoyed watching the meerkats digging in their enclosure, the leaf carrying ants and the sealions 'bombing' the tunnel but I didn't take too many pictures. This is the main giraffe from the 'Stand Tall' trail that took place last June.
