Class was Cookin'

Tonight was my first class at the Laguna Culinary Arts School. We learned the correct way to hold, use and sharpen knives, then jumped right into the kitchen.
We prepared Asparagus & Leek Soup, Then grilled red,green & yellow peppers, zucchini, eggplant and asparagus with a dipping sauce of smoked tomato aioli. Roasted peppers, Sauteed Zucchini and a ponzu dipping sauce. I am new to the cooking thing and I had to learn how to cut bread, grind garlic, sautee veggies...everything. We were on our feet for 4 1/2 hours prepping and cooking. I had my camera in my pocket but never had a chance to get it out.
When I got home I set my notebook down on the kitchen counter, poured a glass of wine and felt my camera in my pocket. I clicked this picture, drank the wine and promised myself to get some real cooking shots next week.
