These brave women known as the "Meira Paibi" (Torchbearers) took out a rally in the night, taking part in the present demand of the people for implementation of ILP (Inner Line Permit) system in the state of Manipur.

Once introduced, this system will check the influx of outsiders in the state thereby preventing the annihilation of the indigenous people by the outsiders.
