Arachnophobia

My household consists of three adult males, one in his late 50s and two in their early 20s, and me.

I came downstairs this morning to find the three of them in the hall, hanging around the kitchen door, looking sheepish. It's not my birthday and it's obviously not Christmas but they have, in the past, bought me random little presents so I wondered if they had got some sort of surprise for me in the kitchen.

No, they hadn't. These three grown men were waiting for me, a feeble female, to appear to dispose of the scary spider, which appeared to be asleep, in a corner of the kitchen. I don't think they expected me to kill it. At least, I hope they didn't; it was far too pretty for that. It was close enough to the back door to enable me to usher it outside so I hope it's been able to take up residence elsewhere.
