Obelisk

On the night of the super moon I climbed the hill to Ashey Seamark which was an old aid to shipping in the hope of catching the rising moon together with the light from the setting sun, an image I have had in mind for years.

Unfortunately the moon was hidden behind a bank of mist and low cloud so did not make an appearance so I had to make do with the structure at sunset.

The Seamark always brings to mind the Obelisk from the film '2001 A Space Odyssey '
