Praia de Marinha

Awoke to a beautiful sunny day so having decided on an early start we were out on the road by 9.30am. Reached Portimâo just before 11am by which time the sky was black. Drove back East and came to Marinha in time for lunch. This beach is in the Top 100 of the best beaches in the world so well worth a visit. Found a lovely restaurant - Casa Lamy on the cliff side where we had some delicious tapas and cold beers. The rain came down so heavily for the next couple of hours we thought we'd have to stay all afternoon !

The day never really cheered up but was slightly better at the villa and as we cooked supper we watched yet another amazing sunset !
