Rocks that Rock

I just realized the photo I thought I posted for 10 July wasn't there- it was early in my posting days so I must have messed up.
At any rate, this is the photo that I took that day.
I started collecting rocks with my brother as a child and I never stopped.
If you offered me a gemstone mounted in a piece of jewelry or a gemstone that was still in its natural substrate, the natural specimen would win every time! And of course, the rock you find yourself is always better than one you buy but I do still buy the spectacular ones!
I hate dusting them but I love having them in my house. :)
