Making Chutney

There’s an apple tree outside the office window that usually grows a goodly crop. Then, one of two things happens:
1. The apples fall to the ground and rot, which attracts wasps that subsequently decide to visit us in the office,
or
2. The apples fall to the ground and rot so the brats from the school splatter them onto our office window, which attracts wasps that subsequently decide to visit us in the office.

So, out of the goodness of my heart and purely in the interests of the other staff, I went scrumping this morning :-)

This afternoon, I made Somerset Apple Chutney.

I may have overdone the cayenne chilli powder … wowsers, it’s hot!
