Provan Hall

This time yesterday I had never heard of Provan Hall. L and I stumbled upon it quite by chance on our journey home from the Fort retail park.

'Probably the most perfect pre-reformation mansion in Scotland' - this description of Provan Hall and its surrounding gardens, by the National Trust has never been bettererd. The house was built in the 15th century and is one of the oldest buildings in Glasgow. Thanks to a lottery grant plans are underway to restore the house to its former glory.

Time was short today but we will certainly make a return visit when we will venture through the original doors and explore ....
