Moonrise Over West Hills

The moonrise for the full moon yesterday was beautiful, but tonight it was an hour later and that made all the difference! We live out west of the city, so we have to look back east to see the moon rising, and that means that the west hills of Portland are in the way...meaning it takes a bit more time for that moon to get up over the hills, but when it did last night, it was glowing fire orange! I went out to the 10th hole on our golf course, and got a straight shot as it rose with the trees in the foreground....loved how it lit everything up.
