Born in England when we were there for my (then) obligatory overseas training, J has worked in Glasgow and London as an architect. Now back in NZ and establishing her own practice. But still fancies a dram or two of a good single malt. Her favourites are the Island malts (especially Laphroaig).

In a local junk shop I saw a Bells commemorative decanter released at the time of the birth of Prince William of Wales in 1982. An impulse buy, one might say. However, the irony of giving an item such as this to the campaign manager for a Green Party candidate, was too delightful to resist.

Somehow, I don't think that she will be using this as a whisky decanter.
