Another day
Bit of a cheat of a photo as this was taken yesterday in the supermarket but wanted to use it so here it is!
Was supposed to meet a friend for coffee and cake this morning but she messaged saying her son was a bit grizzly so could we meet in the park and go for a walk instead. That worked fine for us as OBD needed a sleep so we grabbed some takeaway coffees and walked along the canal. My friend's son is younger than OBD and she was exactly the same as him the week after her 8 week jabs - grizzly, out of sorts and generally hard work. In fact it was one of the hardest weeks I've had with her - shared that with my friend and think she was relieved that someone else had been through the same (and survived!)
We then had a slightly random afternoon - set off to the clinic to get OBD weighed but she promptly fell asleep (she definitely finds it easier to sleep in her pram in the day) so went and had the missed cake from this morning. OBD woke up in time to make the clinic and she's now a healthy 14lb4oz (about 6.5kg). Must be doing something right! She then screamed all the way home but a feed and cuddle seemed to sort her out so we had fun doing some jobs (stripping then making the bed, doing some washing and hanging it out) - ok I did all the jobs whilst babbling on to OBD about what I was doing but she seemed to like!
Once again she was a bit grizzly by the time the fella got home as she was getting tired but it did mean she was out like a light just after 7. It's so nice to have our evenings back and to be reasonably confident of having a uninterrupted tea - it doesn't happen all the time but most nights. (I have probably just put a huge jinx on it!)
