Sonoma Coast
Today's main activity was actually a kayak in the calm waters of Tomales Bay.
I love the landscape there - the outer spit of the Point Reyes peninsula that protects the Bay from the open ocean is quite open, rolling grassland - lots of space. And along the inner edge are small towns with wooden houses, boat docks and a slow pace.
The San Andreas fault runs north-south in the bay, so the land masses on either side of it are actually different tectonic plates. That's pretty amazing.
We came out to the ocean side of Bodega Bay in the evening, when the wind was up, the waves were huge and it was wild.
And on the way out of the car I dropped my G9 camera and broke the screen...nooooo!
