Sad days.............

I have been working with this firm - Wallace School of Transport, AKA Wallace of Wembley - for a number of years now and have made many friends and acquaintances in that time.

Whenever I have a booking to go down there I look forward to the buzz that is 'Life in London' and getting to drive lorries through the city streets and taste a bit of life in the fast(ish) lane.

That being said, I am usually more than ready to come home again after a few days.

But things will never be the same again.

The company, who for 50 years have been based opposite Wembley Stadium and have used part of the stadium car park for practice lessons and parking their trucks, has finally moved out to Park Royal.

Somehow, Wallace of Park Royal does not have the same ring to it.

I'm sure my colleagues from years past will agree with me.
