Today's the day ....................... to feel threatened

This robin really made us laugh today.

It flew right on top of the bracket attached to the outside of the kitchen window that holds the seed feeder for the birds. It didn't seem all that interested in the seeds but it must have been able to see its own reflection in the window. The only trouble was - it obviously thought it was another robin.

So it put on a right display of threatening behaviour to see off the 'intruder'
- who, of course, gave as good as it got. It twisted this way and that, puffed up its feathers, pecked at the glass - all the while ticking away like a bad-tempered old man.

It must have been quite exhausted by the time it decided that it was by the winner by far ...........................
