Grey Heron

Visiting friend in Johnshaven - a still-active fishing village south of Aberdeen - this afternoon expecting to take some shots of fishing boats and lobsters crates. Low and behold on the harbour wall stood this Grey Heron - I'd never seen a Heron in Johnshaven before and so it has to be my blip for the day! I got a shot of it flying off which was quite good but one of its wings hid its head and it looked a bit odd - otherwise it would have been a great shot. As you can see from the sky it is another dull day here although the rain has kept off so far:-)
