1950 Bentley

Saw this on my morning walk this morning. On its way to a wedding! Researched it on the internet and discovered the following:

Bentley Mk.VI (1946-52) Engine 4257cc S6 Production 5208 Registration MTV 323 Chassis B42HR

The Mark VI was Bentley's first post war new car, the first car from Rolls Royce with factory coachwork, but chassis could still be supplied to independant coachbuilders. The Mark VI used the F head straight six engine with a capacity of 4257cc until 1951 when a 4566cc version of the same engine was introduced. A four speed manual synchromesh transmission jad the gear lever mounted to the drivers right for RHD and on the column for LHD, The factory bodies were made at Pressed Steel Ltd. and transported to the Bentley Works at Crewe for painting and trimming. They featured rear hinged suicide doors at the front and a sliding sunroof.

A road test by Motor magazine on a 4.6ltr car in 1951 recorded a top speed of 100mph a 0-60mph time of 15.0seconds and an overall fuel consumption of 16.5mpg the cost of the test car was £ 5,335 an equivalent of £ 134,495 in 2010.

How much would it be worth today I wonder?
