Madrid: Parque del Retiro

Spent an afternoon wandering around and sitting around this gorgeous park with a new friend (another solo female traveller, yay!) There is so much to see here -people watching is so interesting. Lots of people on the lake, people chilling out, way too many PDAs, families taking a walk, tourists with peacock feathers (we never did locate those peacocks...!), Palacia de Cristal (glass palace), a museum, guys working out and cool kids skating around. There was also a vintage bookstall market where I bought a Spanish copy of Romeo and Juliet (Romeo y Julieta)!!! I've been looking for one for a while, so was really excited! Happy days.
