Mijas Pueblo Annual Festival

This Fiesta takes place each year during the second week of September in honour of the Virgen de la Pena.

Today, 8th September, the Virgin is conveyed from the parish church to her hermitage after first receiving a floral offering.

We were delighted to be present at that the culmination of this special event when crowds of people lined the narrow cobbled streets to watch this wonderful procession.
