White & Red Flower

Just down the street from us, late in the afternoon before our first bird club meeting of the season. I'd appreciate an ID for the flower :) Answer by email: "It's in the mallow family, Malvacaea, and it might be in the genus Hibiscus."

Edit: I've just posted a backblip entitled "Glacier's Path" for 1st September, which is the only day I didn't manage to post after my laptop crashed at the beginning of our week's trip to Glacier National Park in Montana on 29th August.
