Would you believe it ?

I came across these feathers on my walk this morning. I don't know what bird they came from, maybe a wood pigeon, but there weren't any others around so it can't have been from a cat- or car-related fatality.
My friend, who I've mentioned before, is having her operation for breast cancer tomorrow.
There is a New Age-type belief that white feathers mean that there's an angel around.
I hope it's looking out for her.
