Early sun

To warm up the shady end of our courtyard, we painted it a colour called 'Terre d'Egypte'. It's fascinating to watch how the tone changes according to light levels, going from bright red in early-morning sun to almost aubergine when shadows darken. Makes a great backdrop for green plants and anything architectural which casts an interesting shadow - like the bird-feeder!
