Mid Autumn Festival Curiosity

Yay, it's a new week!!! Martin took the day off to have another long weekend while Tom's here, so the three of us got to hang out while the poor boys had to go to school.

We went to Tung Chung to watch The Expendables 3 ... Fully loaded cast and so so movie. Happy to have seen it, won't be writing home about it.

Then quick lunch and shop in the outlet mall and back to DB to prepare for the beach. We usually go down to our beach the day before lantern festival.

The moon shone in all it's full glory and we sat under it's strong light plus that of many fluorescent lights that the kids use to decorate themselves. It was lovely, despite the rain that wet the beach for us just prior to our arrival!

Had many friends join us and we enjoyed a very pleasant evening celebrating Ev's birthday. Her husband had asked if I would make a cake to surprise her and I obliged without a second thought.

These boys were playing right in front of us and really caught my attention. Little boys delighting in a little fire play ... no parents supervising, just their intense curiosity. Just lovely! Their faces are pure magic.

Great to have been able to share this festival with Tom. A fine day and a public holiday tomorrow to boot!
