.......meaning "A stirring feeling of emotional fervour and energy"

Well after this 'stirring feeling' I actually felt quite un-well and probably needed a stiff drink. I'm not sure I enjoyed watching. I also managed to 'gouge' my own eye jumping up off the sofa, which didn't help. (and I hadn't been drinking!)
About 2 mins before I was phone in hand about to text Grumps and say, "I'll hang on to that spoon for this year then", but then it all changed in a blink.
