A bit of a moment

The news agencies today told of a Scottish poll indicating a lead in the 'Yes' to devolution campaign today. This concerns me enormously.

I took a little time out this afternoon to visit The Times Newseum, a touring exhibition about news gathering, starting it's run today at The Saatchi Gallery.

I found it incredibly moving, not only for the content, but also artifacts from friends and former colleagues. From the letters between Roger Boyes and Ivan Barnes to Robert Crampton's press passes. Then there is Matthew Cook's first aid kit. Matt was our war artist in the field during the second Iraq War.

The artifacts brought a little tear to my eye.

Someone had even thought of saving an ENL keyboard.
