St. Thomas' & St. Luke's

This is one of our local churches, being the largest in Ashton I think. It was consecrated in 1893, and is an English heritage grade 11 listed property. The church architect was Frank Oldham of Manchester; it seats 500 people. The combined graveyards contains 18 graves of personnel from World War 1 and 7 from World War 11. I thought the colours in the stone looked particularly lovely in the bright light this morning and that it deserved it's own spotlight.
