The Museum is closed on Mondays...

Yes - I went to the museum this am to collect some tickets but it was closed & doesn't open on Mondays..so I ended up looking around another church but this time St Mary's of Aylesbury from where I took this picture of Church Street looking towards Pooley's Palace (County Offices). The café was busy but I was more interested in the array of monuments on the walls of this church which would formally have been a Minster in its earlier days. One of the monuments is dated 1584 and another was of a Crusader lying under a small arch....

I chatted to one of the ladies who was vigorously polishing some of the older pews near the altar...Once I'd started her off there was no stopping her & she proceeded to tell me about her husbands ! Probably time to leave I thought .. so after a very quick mooch around I left & came home.

Its a gorgeous sunny day & we ate lunch in the garden, after which I sorted out Mum's car insurance...managed to save her £140 amazing....
