Happy birthday Suyash!

This is Suyash - the captain of our ship (Hyderabad chapter of Aashayein Foundation) and it is his birthday today. And in his true style, he decided to celebrate with people who matter to him the most - people who he probably doesn't even know very well. But that doesn't stop him from loving and caring for them. He threw a breakfast party for the inmates of this orphanage for girls in Hyderabad. Once all the kids were lined up in the dining hall and we had finished serving them, the kids started singing in chorus (even before saying their breakfast prayer)...happy birthday to youuuuuu.... Imagine a huge hall with about 100 kids singing at the top of their voices - the entire building was reverberating, and our hearts resonating in harmony. I noticed Suyash losing his speech and going numb during the song. I don't blame him...I myself had a lump in my throat at this loving gesture. God bless these kids and God bless Suyash!

Once the party was over, it was playtime...no matter what the kids do, it is always playtime for them. They play when they play, they play when they read, they play when they eat and they play when they go to bed, kissing the day goodnight. We were having a beautiful morning playing with these kids today. The spirit and the energy of the kids was unmatched. So much that the authorities actually had to come and ask us to leave. They said - "as long as you guys are here playing with them, they wont go for their dance and other classes." Reluctantly, we took off from there, after spending really good couple of hours with them. They all bid us farewell, playfully again!

These two are my girls of the day. I was not able to pick one of the two so thought will go with both! I sure can handle more than one at a time :)

P.S. - In another good news, These kids finally found a full-time caretaker. Good for them :)
