Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Wonderland

An extraordinary day of sightseeing between Rotorua and Taupo. This area is full of geothermal activity with mud pools, geysers, craters, lakes and hot pools. This is Champagne Pool at Wai-O-Taupo geothermal wonderland, some incredible features you can walk around. We also visited Waimangu Volcanic Valley and walked the route through the wonderland of 130 year old geology resulting from an 1880's eruption.
A super day, but very very smelly!
