Our stay at the beach ended with some pretty violent thunderstorms, leaving a turbulent dark sky. There was no chance of getting another beautiful sunrise. I tried capturing the stormy sky and the sea oats on the dunes, but the final results were quite drab and not very interesting. After an uneventful ride home, I went out into the backyard with my macro lens looking for a blip. I almost missed this tiny pappus of filaments laying on a leaf. Now that I see it on the screen, I am glad I didn’t.
